There's lots of super awesome people that make up our team. We couldn't do it without all these staff and volunteers (plus the many other volunteers who help us out so often). Thank you all!

Joel was born and raised in Milford, CT and has lived in several US States; Sydney, Australia; and currently, Fredericton, which he proudly calls home! He holds a B.A. in Communications from University of Connecticut; Masters degree in Education from AIU; and a certificate in Worship Ministry from Hillsong International Leadership College. Joy Cares Mission Director
Host - Built Better, Backed Better JOY Ride
Michael was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. In 2005 Michael married an east coast girl named Naomi. Together they have been involved in various capacities of ministry life. From serving as worship and youth pastors at a church in the Greater Toronto Area to associate pastoring here in Fredericton. Some of their best memories come from leading teams of students on multiple mission trips to Mexico with Global Expeditions. They have also been to the Dominican Republic, Trinidad, and the Los Angeles Dream Centre with ministry organizations, where they have led church worship seminars, community work projects as well as participating in outreaches bringing the love and hope of Christ to many people.
After the birth of their daughter Hannah Grace, Michael & Naomi launched Hearts of Motion, a worship & word ministry. They have been honoured to come alongside pastors and congregations in worship services and conferences to lead worship, share in spoken word and help equip worship teams through teaching and training.
Michael is stoked to partner and serve along side the team at the Joy Network. He is an early bird and thus fits perfectly into the spot of morning show host for the Joyride with MJ.
Michael is both a passionate leader and communicator and is best known for being a good listener and sharing a genuine interest in people. In his spare time, he enjoys coffee breaks & times with family & friends.
Mid-day Express Host
Davie was born and raised right here in Freddy Beach and a proud graduate of good ole Fredericton High School. He is happily married to my wife of a dozen years and they are parents to four (yes four) beautiful daughters.
"The Giant Ginger" loves most sports with hockey (NY Islanders) being his favorite. Though some would say he is a crazy Disney fan (he is), he enjoys camping in the summer, he's a member of the Marysville Y Service Club, and can be found encouraging and being that friendly face to greet and meet you at his home church of Marysville Baptist.
As the Mid-day Express host, Davie brings lots of enthusiasm, silliness, fun and "Birthday Wishes" to get you through your lunch hour break.
"Smile, someone could use one!"

Amped at 11 Co-Host
Born and raised in the majestic hills of Keswick Ridge, the festively-plump Christian Monteith is no stranger to the amazing people in the greater Fredericton area. Developing an irreverent sense of humor as a coping method for the difficulties of life, Christian is always down for a good (or bad) laugh.
Channeling strength from his ratty beard, he finds himself putting most of his efforts into school. In his off-time however, the beast is unleashed along with his good pal Reed in the form of Amped @ 11.
While he does his best to understand that Amped @ 11’s abrasive music isn’t for everyone, he still believes in the strong message behind the cookie monster death screams.

You can usually find Mark around town creating partnership or searching for a great cup of coffee. Actively involved in community development with several organizations and building stronger connections to build a better future for the next generation.
Passionate about making great music for worship, amazing at air guitar and air drums, Mark went to choir auditions as a teen and was told the best place for his voice was the sound booth. Mark volunteers at several ministries & community organizations in sound, production, lighting, ProPresenter, video production including live-streaming.
