Meet the Joy Team
The heart of Joy is the people behind the microphone and the mission. Our team is passionate about sharing encouragement, building community, and using Christian radio as a platform for hope across Fredericton and New Brunswick
Amy Bragdon
Station Manager
Justin Connors
Creative Director
Justin loves telling great stories across both visual and written mediums. Born and raised in Fredericton, NB, he holds a diploma in Graphic Design from the Centre for Arts and Technology. His passion for Christian music was fostered at an early age, growing up as a dedicated festival kid in the late '90s and early 2000s who was always on the hunt to discover the newest and best sounds in the genre.
At Joy, Justin wears many hats as Program Director, Music Director, and Production Director. Whether he is finding fresh music, connecting listeners with emerging artists, or shaping the station's overall sound, his heart is deeply rooted in the craft. You can catch him on air as the host of both the Midday Show and The Joy Ride, where he shares fun, relatable stories, great tunes, and a whole lot of heart.
Luke Budreau
Host: The Midday Show
Luke Budreau is a Show Host at JOY 96.5 FM, bringing contagious energy, a heart for ministry, and a genuine love for people to the airwaves. In addition to hosting, Luke supports the day-to-day operations of JOY, helping keep the station connected, organized, and moving forward.
Originally from northern Maine and now proud to call Fredericton, New Brunswick home, Luke is an ordained minister who brings together his passion for faith, media, and community to encourage others and share the hope and JOY of Christ.
Luke has been happily married to his wife, Vanessa, for more than 10 years, and together they are raising two wonderful daughters who keep life full of laughter and adventure.
Whether behind the microphone, supporting the JOY team, serving through ministry, or connecting with people in the community, Luke has a heart for bringing people together and making a positive impact.
Jodi Harrington
Host: Drive w/ Jodes
Jodi is a born-and-raised Frederictonian, certified “cool Aunt”, and lover of all things music. A two-time St. Thomas University grad (English, Theatre, Music & Education), she spends her free time planning trips to Walt Disney World, reading on her Kobo, sipping Starbucks refreshers, and hanging out with her family. When she’s not doing all that, she’s usually hunting down her next favourite local bite (which she’s sure to tell you all about!) As the host of The Drive with Jodes, she’s on a mission to bring a little extra joy to your afternoon commute. Tune in for the latest in Christian music, fun foodie ideas, quirky internet deep-dives, and plenty of laughs along the way!
Scott Leighton
Host: Joyride (Tues, Thurs), Rewind with Scott
Scottie "the Rocketman" has been a part of Joy 96.5 since 2012 in some form or fashion and has hosted a number of different shows, held a number of different roles and just plain ole loves this thing called JoyFM. P.S, he "did not" create his own nickname..
Raised on the tropical island of Grand Manan, he grew up with an appreciation for the simple things in life and a genuine care for people.
He is self proclaimed "sports nerd" who has suffered through many heartbreaking seasons following his Jays, Habs, Lions and Bulls, but promises this is the year that he will watch his football team not just make, but win the Superbowl... for real..
He loves to travel with his much better half Alisha and when they aren't doing that he appreciates the simple joy of a nap on his back deck with his Texas rescue pups, but more specifically his 85 pound lap dog appropriately named DJ.
Whether it's the morning, midday or his Throwback show, REwind, he just loves bringing you the "WORLDS GREATEST MUSIC WITH THE WORLDS GREATEST MESSAGE" and pointing listeners to Jesus over the airwaves through the tunes, God's Word, his silliness or whatever means possible and for however long they will keep him around and let him have a mic.
Le Farris
Host: Out of the Fire
Le is an advocate for deep conversations and relationships. She brings this passion for meaningful connection to her weekly radio show and podcast, Out of the Fire. After beginning her radio journey as co-host of Renew with Rachel and Le, she is now entering an exciting new chapter with Out of the Fire —a show that encourages listeners to look beyond life’s struggles and discover the hope, growth, and strength that can come through them.
Growing up in Alberta, Le graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts with a minor in Management. She works in the financial industry while staying active in her community through event organizing, volunteering, and her love of bringing people together.
Le has a passion for food and loves to cook. Dabbling in a little catering and charcuterie board creations, she also owns Cozymade Foods, a small business featuring homemade jams, jellies, pickles, and salsa.
Le finds joy in writing and public speaking engagements. She has a heart for youth and leans in to where God needs her, using her voice and experiences to encourage, inspire, and make a positive impact in the lives of others.
